A LIGHT HOUSE CALLED KANATA A LIGHT HOUSE CALLED KANATA
It’s been 8 years since Yufuku made its London debut at the Collect Art Fair, then held at the Victoria & Albert Museum, in January 2008. The gallery has expanded considerably since that time, and we are deeply indebted to our friends in London who have helped us to grow and mature throughout the years. As the curtains inevitably closed on Collect for 2016, my team and I came to the conclusion that we could not simply let a year go by without showing our gratitude to our London clientele.
For this reason, it is with great pleasure that I announce Yufuku’s first-ever Pop-Up Exhibition at the IceTank Gallery, just south of the British Museum, for 3 days from the 30th of Sept (Fri) to the 2nd of Oct (Sun).
The exhibition will feature work by leading Yufuku artists such as Ken Mihara, Akihiro Maeta and Yoshiro Kimura, along with fresh new work by younger artists who will be showing for the first time in London, such as Hidenori Tsumori in glass, Osamu Yokoyama in bamboo and Kosuke Kato in metal.
All of us at Yufuku are excited to return to London, a city that feels very much like home, and we sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Pop-Up Yufuku in London this Autumn.
Cordially, Wahei Aoyama Yufuku Gallery
