A month has passed since the end of TEFAF Maastricht 2019, and we will like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest gratitude and many thanks to all who have helped to make this year’s show, our 7th consecutive participation at TEFAF, our very best show ever, with various sales figures broken and kind words of praise received from the many visitors to our stand.

TEFAF Maastricht (fair entrance)

Creating a two-tier stand for the 2nd consecutive year, many of our oldest clients had mentioned that not only was our stand design a great improvement from last year’s two-floor stand (well done, Kumiko!), but the calibre and range of works exhibited at TEFAF Maastricht 2019 was our best ever, with highest accolades given to new artists such as Joseph Walsh in wood and Masanori Maeda in painting, together with the usual sold-out veteran artists such as Niyoko Ikuta in glass, Yoshiro Kimura in porcelain and Keizo Sugitani in abstract stoneware, as well as great momentum from younger sold-out artists such as Kentaro Sato in Japanese painting and Kosuke Kato in Damascus steel. Sato in particular virtually stole the show with his masterpiece “Céleste”, which drew tour groups and great crowds to gaze upon its starry night on a daily basis.

Yufuku’s stand (ground floor)

And as always, Kumiko, the heart and soul of Yufuku, did an incredible job with organising the mammoth show that is TEFAF, while Wahei, who cannot believe that he’s on his 17th year as an art dealer, was very happy to welcome old friends to our stand to chat, while meeting many wonderful new friends in the charming city that is Maastricht.

Thank you as always for your kind support throughout the years. It is because of you that we can do the things we do. We now look forward to exhibiting for the very first time at Masterpiece London in late June.

With deep gratitude,

Team Yufuku
