Ireland House Tokyo presents an exhibition exploring the craft cultures of Japan and Ireland and their relationship with regionality and the passage of time. Featuring works by Joseph Walsh alongside Japanese and Irish artists associated with the gallery, this exhibition is inspired by the creative exchanges between makers from both countries. Curated collaboratively by Joseph Walsh and Wahei Aoyama of A Lighthouse Kanata, the exhibition showcases new and collaborative works by artists and architects from Ireland and Japan. Through material exploration, the exhibition expresses the concept of “circularity”—the interconnectedness of people, places, and the past and future.
